THE NEW GENERATION

Judges 2:10 -11 After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.
The Israelites did evil in the lord’s sight and served the images of Baal.

Acts 13:36 “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.
Generations will live and die. And other generations will grow to replace the old. Each generation has the responsibility of knowing God for themselves and remembering the mighty thing God has done in His generation. Samuel, the prophet and judge of Israel grew up in the house of Eli. His peers who were the children of the High Priest Eli deviated from the ways of God but Samuel was devoted and reverenced God in all he did.

We are faced with such situations in our times too. Many seem to have forgotten all about God. The majority of the people are involved in evil no matter how evil and wicked a generation is some are determined to follow the ways of the Lord. Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." 

Prayer: Father in Jesus name of Jesus Christ I pray for grace to stand out and to faithfully serve you in my generation. Amen.
