HEAR YOUR ENEMIES SPEAK

Judges 7:11 Listen to what the Midianites are saying, and you will be greatly encouraged. Then you will be eager to attack.”So Gideon took Purah and went down to the edge of the enemy camp.

God had reduced the twenty-two thousand warriors of Gideon who were going to fight the Midianites to three hundred only. Definitely, any commander in Gideon's position will be very disturbed. God took away twenty-one thousand seven hundred soldiers from Gideon's warriors and gave him His word which is faithful and true. God was demonstrating the potency of His Word and presence to Gideon. God was saying my word to you is better than thousands of armed men. My Word can outdo your bands of soldiers. One word from God can change your life for good. God's word to you is better than human support and promises.
Judges 7:7 The lord told Gideon, “With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.”

One thing that makes us fearful is our adversaries. Gideon was afraid of the Midianites and thought he needed many warriors but the funny thing was that his adversary were more fearful because of him. Beloved what you fear, fears you more. Judges 7:9-10 That night the lord said, “Get up! Go down into the Midianite camp, for I have given you victory over them! But if you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah. Beloved sometimes you have to visit your enemy's camp it will be a great source of encouragement.

The enemy's camp is not always a danger zone it can also be an encouraging zone.  Judges 7:13 -14  Gideon crept up just as a man was telling his companion about a dream. The man said, “I had this dream, and in my dream a loaf of barley bread came tumbling down into the Midianite camp. It hit a tent, turned it over, and knocked it flat!” His companion answered, “Your dream can mean only one thing—God has given Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite, victory over Midian and all its allies!” Your enemy has dreamt about his or her defeat. Rely on God and His word and victory will be yours.

Prayer: Father I believe in your word which is faithful and true. I depend on it fully and I advance in faith towards any battle ahead of me, knowing you have given me the victory in Jesus' name.  Amen.
