NOTHING WITHOUT LOVE

1 Corinthians 13:2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

Love is one word that has been abused, and misconstrued. Many have not been genuine about it. Love which is a solution has caused many problems because of the misconception about love. From our text today we can deduce from it that without love one has no life. Who or what is life? 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. Love is not an expression of emotion, feeling or exchange of sexual pleasures. Love is far greater than that. If God is greatest and love is also the greatest then know that Love is a personality and He is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Any love you profess without Jesus Christ would end up in crisis. Love is not an avenue for expressing sexual pleasure rather is the demonstration of God's righteousness. Everything great and first has to do with the Lord. Matthew 22:36-38
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "`You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.` This is the first and great commandment. You would be nothing without love and God is Love.

Prayer: Holy Spirit love is a fruit that you bear. Fill my heart with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ so that I demonstrate His righteousness in all my dealings in Jesus' name. Amen
