ELECTION OF GRACE

1 Samuel 9:20 And don’t worry about those donkeys that were lost three days ago, for they have been found. And I am here to tell you that you and your family are the focus of all Israel’s hopes.”

Saul was given a nice description in the bible. In a nutshell, we can say he was an honourable man. 1 Samuel 9:2 And he had a choice and handsome son whose name was Saul. There was not a more handsome person than he among the children of Israel. From his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people. His elegance and honour did not do much for him. With all these descriptions in his father's house, he was an errand man. Saul and his servants were chasing after missing donkeys when all of Israel wanted him as their leader.

However great you think you are or may be in future, what the Grace of God will do for you is always far better. Both the lowly and the elevated need the Grace of God. 1 Samuel 9:1 There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. What the election of Grace will do for you is greater than what have you and will ever have on your own. Grace moved king Saul from being just an heir in his father's house to being a king of Israel. There are things we are worried about to achieve on our own but if we will rely on God and yield to the election of grace we come will have a better outcome.

Prayer: Father I thank you for the election of Grace. I pray for wisdom to walk in the calling of my life in Jesus' name. Amen.
