ROCK OF AGES

1 Samuel 6:14 The cart came into the field of a man named Joshua and stopped beside a large rock. So the people broke up the wood of the cart for a fire and killed the cows and sacrificed them to the lord as a burnt offering.

When the gods of the Philistine could not stand God's presence they decided to return it to the people of Israel. The cart carrying the ark of God's presence came into the field of a man named Joshua. Joshua means Jehovah is salvation. The ark of God has been polluted by entering the temple of dagon. To be restored it entered into the field of salvation. But there can't be salvation without the Personality of Jesus Christ. So in the field of salvation, the cart stopped by a large rock.

That rock is Jesus Christ. Psalms 62:6 He is the rock of ages. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. Jesus Christ is the sacrificial lamb that is sacrificed for all to have access to God's presence. John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. These are the testimonies of John the Baptist about Jesus Christ. That He takes away the sin of the world and baptises with the Holy Spirit. By the rock in the field of Joshua fire was set and rams were sacrificed. In Jesus Christ only is there salvation and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and fire unto all who believe in Him.

Prayer: Jesus Christ cleanse by your blood and give me access to the Father's presence. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and fire in Jesus' name.  Amen
