THE SURPASSING GREATNESS OF GOD

Psalms 40:16 But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, "The Lord is great!"

The greatness of God is seen in different ways. Through His creation, we know the greatness of God. Psalms 8:3-5 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon, and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. All these show God's greatness, but the ultimate superiority is seen in God's salvation plan. You will never see all of His greatness until you receive God's salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 2:3-4 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Every individual will experience God's greatness in one way or the other, but those who will share His surpassing greatness are those who love God's salvation.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your greatness towards me. I pray that, above all, I will experience your surpassing greatness that comes through salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.
