THE PURPOSE OF YOUR DELIVERANCE

Psalms 56:13 For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.

Psalm fifty-six was a Psalm of David when the Philistines captured him in Gath. He was afraid for his life; fear gripped him, yet in this, he hoped in the Lord.

There are seasons where you fall in the hands of mortal men. The outcomes of your life seem to be dependent on their stance. But there is a limitation to what a human can do to you. Matthew 10:28
"Don't be afraid of those who want to kill you. They can only kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. The enemy can only touch your body, not your soul. Therefore no matter what the devil does to you, do not surrender your soul to him because God will come to your rescue.

Why would God send you deliverance? Your deliverance is coming so you can walk in the presence of God. This presence point to the personality of Jesus Christ. He is your life-giving light and your redeemer. You will not die but live in His presence.

Prayer: Jesus, I thank you for your work of redemption; continue to deliver from evil in Jesus' name. Amen.
