THE REAL HEART BREAK

Psalms 42:4 My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be: I walked among the crowds of worshipers, leading a great procession to the house of God, singing for joy and giving thanks— it was the sound of a grand celebration!

Remembrance comes in when we are dealing with issues of the past. David was experiencing a heartbreak, not because a beloved jilted him. Instead, his heartbreak was because of a broken relationship with God. Unlike David, most of us don't care about our broken relationship with God.
We cry and lament over broken hearts from relationships and disappointments from systems and relatives, yet we fail to see how broken we are without a relationship with God. Beloved, remember how it used to be, how you were excited about the things God and his presence! Don't be comfortable with your lukewarmness. David, the man after God's heart, got to that level. He didn't have any present connection with God; all he had was just his past with God.
But thank God His word says we should remember from where we have fallen and arise. Beloved, don't remember and stay there; arise unto your first love. Be encouraged and arise again.
Psalms 42:5 Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God. Jesus Christ is ready to save you again and restore that broken relationship. Jesus Christ doesn't break hearts; He mends them. Come all who are broken hearted unto Jesus Christ who heals them.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I want to be where you are. Please have mercy on me and restore my relationship with you. Amen!
