THE BENEFITS OF KINDNESS

Psalms 41:1-3: Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor. The Lord rescues them in times of trouble. The Lord protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity and rescues them from their enemies. The Lord nurses them when they are sick and eases their pain and discomfort.

Some forty-one is a Psalm of David where he laments about his sickness and the consequences of his sin that has made him a laughing stock to his enemies.
Yet before he complains, he takes time to outline how vital the acts of kindness are. Who talks or even thinks about kindness when they are sick? No, not one; no wonder he is called a man after God's heart because, like Jesus Christ on the cross who rescued a dying criminal and the world's sin, so is David amid affliction.
Everyone needs compassion and kindness. Don't deny anyone help.  Proverbs 3:27-38 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back tomorrow, and I’ll give it to you" — when you already have it with you.
The rewards of being kind come from the Lord. They are a complete package that entails your rescue mission at all times, protection, the longevity of life, prosperity, nursing services of the Lord when they are sick, plus the Lord becomes your pain relief and comforter. Beloved, there is great joy and blessings in being kind. Be kind to everyone.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, in the name of Christ Jesus, stir up within me this great virtue of kindness, help me be kind at all times that I may receive the blessings of the Lord in Jesus' Name. Ame
