PRAYER FOR DIVINE JUSTICE

Psalms 58:6 -8 Break off their fangs,
O God! Smash the jaws of these lions, O Lord! May they disappear like water into thirsty ground. Make their weapons useless in their hands. May they be like snails that dissolve into slime, like a stillborn child who will never see the sun.

The Bible encourages us to pray all kinds of prayers in Ephesians 6:18a And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. We often talk about seeking justice. Peter Tosh sang and said everybody is crying out for peace; no, nobody is crying out for justice. Today Psalm fifty-eight is teaching us on how to pray for Justice.

Often the people at the peak of practicing injustice are rulers. Fangs represent their strongholds, and jaws represent their support system. So in the name of Jesus Christ, we break and smash strongholds and support systems of people involved in injustice. Secondly, people engaged in injustice must disappear from positions and high places they occupy to perform their evil acts; therefore, we pray in Jesus' name for the termination or disappearance of any person that occupies any position, spiritually, physically, in our families, nations, neighbourhood who are involved in injustice; may we not see a trace of them anymore.

Again people who are not just gain an advantage over opponents with their weapons. Arm robbers are not fearful until they show their guns. Therefore we pray in Jesus' name that any weapon of injustice, whether spiritual or physical, targeted against the body of Christ, your life, family, and nations loses its potency and misses its target in Jesus' name; we redirect them back to the camp of the enemy! The snail is slow by nature; how much more when it is in a slime. We decree and declare in Jesus' name that perpetrators of injustice will be slow in life; they will find themselves in environments limiting and inhibiting their wicked enterprises. If a child was stubborn in the days of David, they were locked inside. We pray and decree that all involved in unjust behaviours will be limited in life. We place divine restrictions and sanctions on them in Jesus' name!

Prayer: Father, We thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. We thank you that from today injustice has given way for justice to prevail in Jesus' name. Amen!
