THE OPEN SECRET

Isaiah 29:15 Destruction is certain for those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who try to keep him in the dark concerning what they do! "The Lord can't see us," you say to yourselves. "He doesn't know what is going on!"

Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent are some of the basic attributes of God we learn right from infancy. The Bible says God doesn't sleep or slumber.
2 Chronicles 16:9a For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. These descriptions of God simply mean we cannot hide anything from God. Yet the Bible is saying some people try to hide their plans from the Lord and try to be secretive with God about the things they do. What then does consider a secret? Proverbs three will give us the answer. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. God considers anything you do without seeking Him in prayer and His word as a secret, we do them without seeking God's opinion.

It is therefore ironic to try and hide anything from the Lord and to think He is not aware of what is going on. The result of trying to hide our plans from the Lord is destruction. Isaiah 29: 15a Destruction is certain for those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who try to keep him in the dark concerning what they do!" The destruction of such people is not second-guessed they are as sure as the rising of the sun and the setting of the same. To be on the best side is to seek God's opinion in all you and to be led by him, than seeking your own ways that lead to destruction.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ forgive me for walking in my own plans without involving you. I ask for mercy, from today Holy Spirit take the lead and I will follow in Jesus' name. Amen.
