THE CALL TO COMPROMISE

Isaiah 36:13-15 Then he stood and shouted in Hebrew to the people on the wall, "Listen to this message from the great king of Assyria! This is what the king says: Don't let King Hezekiah deceive you. He will never be able to rescue you. Don't let him fool you into trusting in the Lord by saying, 'The Lord will rescue us! This city will never be handed over to the Assyrian king.'

This a message from King Sennacherib of Assyria through his chief of staff to the king of Israel Hezekiah and the people of Israel. In battles apart from physical weapons, you possess one weapon that is powerful and should always be engaged are words. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Apart from Goliath's weight and weapons on the day of battle he was defying the God of Israel. We see a similar happening to king Hezekiah. The enemy will always say things to defy God so your faith in God will be shaken.
If you become fearful then you make it easy for him to win. The devil will always want you to believe that no deliverance is coming from the Lord because he knows that greater is He that is you than He that is in the world.

The devil is loud with his message, he wants you to compromise and be his slave. Proverbs 1:10 My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them! Hezekiah turned his back on the words of the king of Assyria and went to seek the Lord in prayer. When you face the challenge to compromise, turn to God in prayer. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” When you are confronted by the devil to make you think God cannot rescue you don't pay attention to him. Just ask him if he was able to rescue himself when he was been thrown out of heaven. What he could not do for himself he can't do for you. Continue trusting God and He will come through for you.
