THE JOY OF SALVATION

Isaiah 25:8-9 He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."

Since your birth, you have not stopped doing certain things because they are daily necessities. Brushing our teeth, bathing and eating are things we continually do because they do not lose their value in our lives. The benefits of salvation are enormous here on earth and in the life to come. It is a full package of blessings for all who have decided to follow Jesus. Christ. Mark 10:29-30 So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospels, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. This means that in following Jesus Christ there are things dear and close to you that you must leave, apart from losing things you are assured of persecution as a subsequent blessing of salvation in this life. Hallelujah!

We usually will not appreciate the full blessing of salvation in this side of life until we exit into eternity. That is when we will begin to give great testimonies about our salvation. If you saw salvation here as the pain you will see it as gain. Paul had an early revelation of the glory of eternity and he said to live for Christ is gain and to die for Him is gain. Tears will be gone, insults will be gone all that will be left is our expression of joy and the great testimony of the goodness of our God. Quit saying when you see God you have several questions on your mind for Him, you will forget. When Saul of Tarsus got a glimpse of Him, he did know who he was talking to yet he called in Lord. Acts 9:5 "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation." Beloved in Christ Jesus, fear not Christ, you have been saved just be glad and rejoice in your salvation. And if you are not saved, Jesus Christ is still in the business of saving souls: Just say Lord Jesus I repent, forgive me, I believe in you, save me from perishing and give me eternal life.

Prayer: Jesus Christ we praise you for what you have done and continue to do for our salvation. Holy Spirit fill me with great joy that I may constantly rejoice and be glad in His salvation. Amen.
