YOUTHFUL EXPLOITS FOR THE LORD

1Samuel 17:33 And Saul said to David, You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

From the days of old God loved to make a statement of praise with young people. He started speaking to the boy Samuel at a tender age, then Jonathan who made a move for God's people against the Philistines. The five daughters of Zelophehad at young ages acted in faith which changed the destiny of women in the land of Israel for good. Read Numbers 27: 1-8. Now it was the turn of David. God loves it when young people act in faith on His behalf, He has no option but to give them victory. No wonder there is a prophecy over the young generation. Joel 2:28a And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. The fact is young people are adventures and we want to do mighty things. But we live in a society where experience is the yardstick for endorsement. But they forget that as we walk through life, our engagements with friends, school, and the environment are parts of our experiences. We may be 10 but we have experience, we are 17 we but have the experience to do mighty works. Look at David's response to his inexperience.
1Samuel 17:34 -35 And David said unto Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and stroke him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and stroke him, and slew him.
What we must do as young people to shut the mouth of our doubters is to act in faith and take that initiative for the Lord. He will give us the victory. But only make sure what you get involved in brings glory to the Lord.
1Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Prayer: Holy Spirit I place a demand on the prophecy of the young people. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon me for mighty works for you in Jesus' name. Amen.
