LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR

1Samuel 18:3 And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.

To love your neighbour as yourself is what the Lord requires of us. In relating to other people you must treat them as you treat yourself. What you do to yourself when you are in need, sick, broken, and helpless is the same you must do to others in a similar situation. When Jesus was questioned about how to inherit eternal life this the answer he gave in two folds. To first love God and our neighbors.
Luke 10:27 He answered, "’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ’Love your neighbor as yourself.’ "Jesus used the story of the good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-37 is illustrate who our neighbour is. After His illustration, he asked who do think was a neighbour to the man attacked? St. Luke 10:36-37 "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." When you are merciful to the needs of people it shows you love them as yourself. Jesus said go and do likewise.

Prayer: Holy Spirit bear in me the fruit of love. Let the love of God and my love of others bring glory to you in Jesus' name. Amen
