HEART CHANGE

1 Samuel 10:9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.

The manufacturer of a car is the one responsible for creating the engine of the car. God created man and therefore he made our heart. Only God has the power to change our hearts. Then He uses His word to change. The manufacturer builds the engine capacity based on the purpose for which the car would be used for. For every assignment and purpose God gives you in life He would give you a heart for it. He changed Saul's heart for him to be king over His people. When you apply our hearts to God's word and obey Him as He has said,  you allow Him to change our hearts. So as Saul accepted the word of God through the mouth of prophet Samuel he was undergoing a heart change. He went into rebellion when he acted contrary to God's word. 1Samuel 15:22-23 "But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king." The heart that does not accept the word of the Lord is rebellious and God rejects such people. Heart Change is equivalent to accepting and obeying God's word. Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
