YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND THE WAYS OF GOD

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

God made man in His own image and likeness.

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. The dominion mandate God gave man was over his creation not over God. And as humans, we continue to operate in that office only when we continue to stay in His presence. We have our own ways of thinking and understanding of issues of life. We will miss it in life if we depend on our own understanding. Because we didn't make ourselves we have to follow the manual of the one who made us to appreciate and understand the reason for our existence properly. The manual for our living is the word of God. The moment we live our lives outside the word of God we are leaning on our own understanding. Trusting in the Lord with all your heart means that directing all issues of life that comes from your heart to the Lord and His word. Leaning on your own understanding makes your ways crooked but leaning on God makes your ways straight. For a straight path in life lean on Jesus Christ. 

Prayer: Father I pray for Grace to trust you at all times, may I never lean on my own understanding but daily trusting your word to rule my life in Jesus mighty name Amen.
