FAITH OVER FEAR

Ezra 3:3 Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the LORD, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

Fear is not of the Lord. It is a spirit that deters and robs us of the purposes of God for our life and it also robs are peace of mind. Fear has been defined as a false assumption that appears to be true. God never gave us fear. 

2Timothy1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Fear is a gift and a spirit from the devil. 

The gifts God gave us are power, love, and sound mind which equals faith. While fear is a false assumption of things you don't expect to happen, faith is defined in Hebrews 11:1-2 as Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. 

Faith gives you the assurance of things you want to see and it gives a good report. Fear gives a bad report faith gives a good report. What do you with fear, because once a while you will be hit with it. In the midst of fear you must, you must continue to do what God has said we should do. You must continue to do what God has put in your heart regularly despite your fears. In our verse for today, they were afraid they will be stopped but it never happened. They continued with the sacrifices until they built the temple of the Lord. Don't let fear stop you.

Prayer: Holy Spirit increase my faith over fear. When fear hits me may I rise in the power of faith in Jesus mighty name Amen.
