HOW KINGS REIGN

Proverbs 8:13-16

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

The fear of the Lord is not seeing God as a personality we find difficult to approach. The fear of the Lord has to do with the deep reverence you have for the Lord that enables you to honor his word. The fear of the Lord is to hate anything that is contrary to God's word, again you don't exalt yourself ahead of God's will and timing. In our world, today how men of women created and molded in the image of God have no fear. Fear not in the sense of being afraid of Him, with the sense of feeling danger thinking God is going to kill you or harm you in any way, but fearing Him by revering, honoring, and obeying Him. 

Proverbs 2:5 Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.

Most people have not yet been able to gain knowledge of God because they have refused to fear Him.

We would see in our theme scripture of what it means to fear the Lord, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil..."

Job 28:28 And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’" 

To be able to see wisdom there should be the fear of God, it's so real, anyone who really fears the Lord is wise because it is when you obey the Word that is when you exhibit the qualities of wisdom.

[AMP] - Proverbs 9:10 The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. 

Wisdom is a full package that includes understanding, counsel, power, and strength and we can only see wisdom being made manifest when we fear the Lord.

1Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. 

God loves us and so He has given Jesus to us to be made our wisdom, we see it clearly in the verse above Jesus has been made our wisdom, this is to say to have wisdom is to have Jesus. You only need to Accept and confess His Lordship over your life and through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will walk in real wisdom.

PRAYER: Thank you Our Heavenly Father for your provision of wisdom, we are made to understand we can only get wisdom when we fear You, we are willing Lord, We pray you to help us so that we will forever obey and honor You. We thank You for Your Son Jesus who has been made wisdom for us, we reign and rule in wisdom in Jesus' name. Amen
