WATCHOUT FOR THE FAKES AND THEIR OPERATIONS

2Peter 2:1-3 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them —bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed, these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

The Apostle Peter dedicated the whole of 2Peter 2 to discuss the issue of false prophets and teachers. In this chapter, He talks about how they operate and the judgment that awaits them. The first sign in identifying them is that their doctrines are destructive thus they destroy. They destroy your faith then put fear and panic in you, so your faith will be in them, not God. They destroy families, they don't have the fruit of the Spirit in them. Secondly, they have many followers and they bring the truth in disrepute; they make people question God and his word. Again they are greedy and use fabricated stories to exploits you, such people take money from people before rendering spiritual services to them. Watch so you are not deceived.  

🛐 prayer: Holy Spirit open the eyes of my understanding to discern genuine servants of God and to stay away from the fakes and their destructive teachings in Jesus mighty name Amen.
