WISDOM

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Wisdom starts with God and ends with God. The fear of God marks the start of wisdom. Psalms 14:1b The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

 Foolishness starts when one begins to deny God. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, which implies there are other dimensions of wisdom. The other dimensions are not accessible until you fear God. Wisdom displayed outside the context of God is human philosophy. Colossians 2:8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. Christ is the power and wisdom of God. 

Wisdom abounds but there are few who find it and heed to its ways. 

Proverbs 1:20-21 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech. Wisdom is a lacked commodity among people but if you can ask, God will give it to you without hesitation.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 

This is the wisdom that comes from above James 3:17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Operate in the wisdom that comes from above.

Prayer: Father I pray for wisdom that is from above. Grace my life with divine wisdom in Jesus name Amen.
