WHEN AN ENEMY WANTS TO BECOME A FRIEND

Ezra 4:3-4 But Zerubbabel, Joshua, and the rest of the heads of the families of Israel answered, "You have no part with us in building a temple to our God. We alone will build it for the LORD, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia, commanded us." Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building.

You have to be careful and vigilant when an enemy all of a sudden wants to become a friend. You have to use the word of God to judge in such circumstances. You have been commanded to love your neighbors that you must do that as a child God. But an enemy cannot help you in fulfilling your divine purpose or help you to build anything for the Lord. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 1Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. The enemies of Judah did not set out to help them but to destroy them. But they wanted to fight them from within because an enemy within is difficult to identify and to cast out. But thanks be to God that Ezra and the leaders of Judah were smart and did not permit those disguised enemies into their camp. Their actions after they were ceased from working with God's people revealed their true motive. The fought the children of God till the work of God came to a standstill. The wrote letters till orders came from above that the people of Judah should stop building. Ezra 4:24 Thus the work on the house of God in Jerusalem came to a standstill until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia. It is easier fighting an enemy outside than within. Don't deceive! And don't too quick to accept help from an enemy.

Prayer: Holy Spirit give me the spirit of discernment and sharpen my spirit man to detect and reject destiny destroyers in my life in Jesus name Amen.
