THE STRANGE WOMAN
Proverbs 5:3-6 For the lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: but in the end, she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave. She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.
Proverbs five is dedicated to teaching young men and husbands, about the strange women and the outcome of dealing with them. The chapter in the latter part advised young men and husbands about these women. Who is a strange woman? Other versions call her the immoral woman, the adulterous woman, the forbidden woman, etc. Per these descriptions alone she is a strange indeed!
Strange women have sweet lips 💋 full of abominable words, they are classy, sassy but have no regard for God and his ways. They don't have Christ in them simple. What they have in them is crisis. They are the women who do not care about purity in a relationship, they don't value virginity, they are fornicators, bisexuals, they trade their bodies for pleasure and wealth, they don't care chasing after other people's husbands, they have no shame.
They the type of women who walk almost naked by the side of a man who is well dressed, they brag about having multiple sexual partners, and they delight in flaunting wealth gained from their sexual expedition. They are women who destroy once happy homes, they make husbands eject legitimate wives and stop providing for their children. They make young men live irresponsible lives and destroy their destinies. Any woman who leads astray from God and his word is a strange woman.
Solomon married strange women and they turn his heart from the Lord. They made him an idol worshipper.
1Kings 11:1-6 King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter —Moabite,s, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites. They were from nations about which the LORD had told the Israelites, "You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods." Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been. He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the LORD; he did not follow the LORD completely, as David his father had done.
Husbands and young men stay away from strange women if you love life and want to see all your days on earth in good health and worth.
Proverbs 5:8-12 Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,
lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel, lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich the house of another. At the end of your life, you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent. You will say, "How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!
Prayer: Father I pray myself, for all other men that you keep them away from strange women and their ways in Jesus name Amen.
