PREPARE TO MEET THE KING

1John 3:2-3
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

Preparation for eternity is a daily thing. Sometimes the world's system can confuse us because in the world times and dates are set for particular occasions and we are given some period to prepare for it. For example we don't prepare for elections till the election year is getting closer then you start seeing public announcements, education etc. In our school settings also we are given academic calendar for school's activities which includes dates for revision and the dates of the exams. In the cooperate world too there are schedules for assessment, interview, promotions, transfers etc.
But it not so with the Lord, His ways are pass finding.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8. He gives clues not dates, and in his time he makes all things beautiful. His time can be today, ten years, thousands years, tomorrow or now. However you look at it, God has a time unknown to anyone, yours is just to prepare to meet his timing.
The coming of the Lord shall come like a thief in the night. 2Peter 3:10. If you believe in the hope of resurrection and the coming of the Lord you must daily purify yourself and prepare daily to meet him. Hebrews12:14 follow peace with all men, and holiness without which you cannot see God. Read Matthew 24, 2Timothy 3:1-7, 2Peter 3 to find these clues.

Prayer: Holy spirit help me prepare in purity as I await the coming of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ  Amen
