EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT IS FROM ABOVE

James 1:16-17
Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Everybody wants good and perfect gifts. Whether it be in the choice of spouse, car, house, kids, wealth, job, relationships etc. But in our efforts to get these things there are alternatives. The devil can also give you gifts, but the gift of God to you is  good, perfect and without flaw. Consider the number of times you have failed or lied to God concerning vows, pledges, tithes and even living a life of purity and yet he spared  your life. Has God ever asked to kill your beloved one, to sleep in a cemetery, bring human body parts before he blesses you? But this is not so with the other side. People have died instantly, gone mad, sacrifice their loved ones because they failed one procedure or the other. This gift of the devil can't be good and perfect. Any job or favour you get that demands you pay bride, have sex with someone, produce a false document, lie etc. Is not of God.The bible says the blessing of the Lord makes a person rich and he added no sorrow to it. Proverbs 10:22.  If you have been deceived into any blessing that is making you sorrowful it is time to give it up and turn to God for the original blessing which is good and perfect.

Prayer: God I give up any burden that has been placed on me as a blessing. I turn to you today for true and  lasting riches in Jesus name.  Amen
