A LETTER TO YOUNG PEOPLE

1John 2:14b
I write to you, young people, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

John the youngest Apostle of Jesus Christ is advising young people that strength minus the word of God is weakness and yielding to the devil. Every young man and woman desires to live a life of purity to please the Lord. But overcoming the evil one is not about how you build your body, package yourself, is not the number of Christian or secular videos you have on your phone or laptop, nor is it by the number of likes, tags and trends and celebrity info.
The only thing the devil fears is the word of God, all other things attract him except the word.
Is not enough to read to read and memorize scriptures as young people, the word must live in us.
Living things have about seven characteristics and the word of God living you also exhibit these characters;
Nutrition: the word is the food your soul and spirit feed on. Physical food takes care of just the body but the word takes care of your soul and spirit.
Respiration: the word sends information concerning the will of God to the various parts of our body.
Movement: The word guides your path.
Excretion: The word accesses your being empowers you and flushes out negative deeds.
Growth: the word causes permanent increase in the spiritual fruits you produce.
Reproduction: the word causes you to influence others and make disciples.
Sensitivity: the word allows to respond to positive stimuli and to reject negative stimuli.
If Jesus himself being the word overcame the devil with the word, who are you as a young person of survive outside the word.

Prayer: Holy spirit let your word grow in me and cause me to overcome the devil in Jesus name Amen
