THE EVIDENCE OF THE CALL

Numbers 17:8 When he went into the Tabernacle of the Covenant the next day, he found that Aaron’s staff, representing the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, budded, blossomed, and produced ripe almonds!

After the incident with Korah and his allies the Lord wanted to make a clear statement about His called ones. God gave an open test where all the tribes brought a rod to be placed in the Lord's tabernacle of witness. Numbers 17:5 And it shall be that the rod of the man whom I choose will blossom; thus I will rid Myself of the complaints of the children of Israel, which they make against you."
Amid doubt and challenges of life about what God has called you to do, what will silence your mockers and doubters is your fruitfulness. How do you become fruitful? You become fruitful as you lay before the Lord in His presence.

Numbers 17:7-8 Moses placed the staffs in the lord’s presence in the Tabernacle of the Covenant. When he went into the Tabernacle of the Covenant the next day, he found that Aaron’s staff, representing the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, budded, blossomed, and produced ripe almonds! But as we lay in God's presence you through four processes. First, you sprout; to sprout in a plant means a new growth on a plant, whether from seed or other parts. You begin to see new growth processes in you, from your very foundation. You don't know how but you begin to notice changes in you just like the seed in the soil. It does not do any to start germinating but the soil has been conditioned to help seeds grow. The presence of God starts your germinating process. The second process is where you begin to bud you start to develop as you expose yourself to the light of God's word, prayer and other spiritual exercises.

The third process is the blossoming season also known as the flowering season. This a critical and most people get it wrong because they see beautiful things on them and people passing compliments here and there, they tend to think they have arrived. You are not a flowering plant but a tree who have been wired and designed to produce fruit, continue to abide till you see your fruits yield. The final stage is the fruitful stage. When you become fruitful that is not your end, you must continue to abide that God will prune you to produce more fruit.

Jesus Christ emphasised this demonstration of staying in His presence and becoming fruitful in His statement in John 15:2-5 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. There are artificial fruits and natural fruits. Natural fruits emerge from trees that abide in God and His process. The artificial is man-made. Is the evidence of your call man-made or God made?

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ my true vine, I commit myself to always abide with you.  Jesus Christ continue to prune me to produce limitless fruits in you for your glory.  In your Holy name, I pray. Amen.
