THE REWARD OF WORTHLESS SHEPHERDS

Zechariah 11:17 "Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded!"

Do you receive your payment from your employer? If you then congrats, you are enjoying the fruit of your labor. Has the Lord Jesus Christ also committed something into your hands? If yes have you taught about His rewards as well?

Whatever God has given us, He will reward us for it. Here on earth and in eternity. Your family, sweeping the church, as children's teacher, pastor, prophet, your social media platforms, your role in the church, and any other thing you believe was given to you by God will be accounted for. Worthless shepherds are those who ignore and desert the responsibility of the assignment given to them by God. They have accepted the assignment, yes, but they refuse to do anything concerning the task given to them. Romans 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. In as much as God will not take away that which He has given to you, He as an adjective to describe who you are and that word is worthless. We have worthy shepherds and worthless shepherds.

There is a curse for anyone who does the work of God anyhow. It is the word of God that will fight you. The word will strike your arm. Once God sees you have deserted that which He has given you, He makes you unfruitful. You lack proper vision, thus you tune your mind on things that are not productive. By the time you realize you have lost it all. Your arm is withered and you have lost your vision for life. The life you now live will be a worthless one. It is better not to accept the responsibility than to accept it and not perform your duties.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, forgive me for ignoring my responsibilities towards my flocks and any assignment given me. I ask for mercy and repent from my dead work. Holy Spirit empower me to the bidding of the Lord in Jesus' name. Amen.
