CAUSES OF WANDERING

Zechariah 10:1-2 Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone. The idols speak deceitfully, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.

The dictionary defines wandering as moving without purpose or specified destination; often in search of livelihood. Today in our generation people move from one church to another, one relationship to another, leaving marriages, homes, and families to places they are not sure of and there is a reason for it.

Verse two of Zechariah ten gives us the answer to why people have become wanderers. The idols speak deceitfully, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd. People have left peaceful marriages, their jobs, ministries, and children all in the name of a word that either came from a decietful idol, a lie from a false pastor prophet, apostle, evangelist, or teacher, and false vision and dream tellers. In these last days, deception is one of the enemy's greatest tools deplored by his agents whom he has presented as men and women of honour yet they are lions in sheep's clothing.

Beloved in your difficult and confusing seasons, it is not time to be running to men for a prophetic word but rather is time to talk to God in His word and through prayer to seek a solution to your problem. God gives showers of rain to all people including you. The prophecy and prayers and the directions you are going to a man for it was given to them by God. Precious one what is preventing you from going to God in prayer?  How many times did you see Jesus Christ the one we follow going about seeking prayers and prophetic words? He prayed and read the word of God for Himself and through that He fulfilled His purpose for life. Beloved, you will forever be a wanderer if you don't stop moving from one place to the other. Follow the example of Jesus Christ and it will be well with you.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I choose to leave the way of wandering and to seek the father in word and prayer for His will for my life, empower me, my helper in Jesus' name. Amen
