THE PURPOSE OF YOUR DELIVERANCE

Mark 5:19 But Jesus said, " No, go home to your friends, and tell them what wonderful things the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been. "

Why would Christ go through the pain to save you and deliver from all you are going through. There is a purpose why God leaves the ninety-nine and comes after you.

The number one reason God saves and delivers us is for us to have a lasting relationship with Him, where He can communicate with us, and we, in return, also communicate with Him. Mark 5 begins with the story of the demon-possessed man of Gadarenes. The man could himself not talk to God or anyone for that matter. Even at the appearance of Jesus Christ, demons spoke on the man's behalf.  Mark 5:8-9 For Jesus had already said to the spirit, " Come out of the man, you evil spirit." Then Jesus asked, " What is your name? " And the spirit replied, "Legion, because there are many of us here inside this man." Our greatest need as human beings is a relationship with our maker. Christ came to save us to restore us to God, where we walk and live in His will for our lives.

Again we have been saved to become partakers in spreading the good news of the Kingdom of God with our family, friends, and the world at large. The healed man wanted to join Christ's church, but Christ told him to go home; the preaching and salvation of souls begin in our homes. Every saved believer has the responsibility of preaching the Gospel of Christ Jesus and sharing the testimony of God's goodness to their household; the Gospel starts in our homes. We are also responsible for preaching the good news to our friends and loved ones. In eternity people will be amazed about what we call true love. Every true love that does not first point you to Jesus Christ and His love is false love. Mark 5:20 So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to tell everyone about the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them. The saved man went out to preach the good news. After days, weeks, months, years of salvation, your salvation, have you been able to talk to anyone about Jesus Christ? You have been Saved to Save.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for keeping mute after my salvation. Holy Spirit, grant me the boldness to preach the gospel from my home to the ends of the world in Jesus' name. Amen.
