DIVINE RECONSTRUCTION

Psalms 60:1-2 You have rejected us, O God, and broken our defenses. You have been angry with us; now restore us to your favor. You have shaken our land and split it open. Seal the cracks before it completely collapses.

God's anger upon us when you fall into the error of disobeying him. Broken defense symbolizes exposure or nakedness. The first thing you recognize about yourself when you sin against God is your nakedness.

Divine reconstruction begins with favor. When Nehemiah wanted to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, his prayer was for God to show him favor. Nehemiah 1:11b Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man." Isaiah 49:8 This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you. We are in the times of the Lord's favor; receive your portion in Jesus' name. Amen.

The next thing you need in the divine reconstruction process is help. The first help God has given us is the Holy Spirit. He is our helper. Without Him, all other help with eventually ruin you. Nehemiah experienced the help of God; then, God caused men to help him. The king helped him; he had people who also helped him rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem. Whatever needs reconstruction in your life is possible with the favor and the help of God. Psalms 60:11-12 Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God's help, we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

Prayer: Father, I pray for your favor and help in this journey. Holy Spirit, help me to rebuild any broken thing in my life and bring me great helpers, in Jesus' name. Amen.
