HOW THE CURSED BE BLESSED

Isaiah 19:19-20 In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt and a monument to the LORD at its border. It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.

The beginning verses of Isaiah 19 talk about the wrath of God against Egypt. The prophecy of Isaiah from the Lord against them was a catastrophic one.
Isaiah 19:5-10 The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry. The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away. The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart. It was that bad. But out of nothing a nation that is cursed receives redemption. How was that possible? How can the cursed be blessed? Is cursed is blessed through Jesus Christ our Lord. Hallelujah Amen. Jesus Christ was that altar at the heart of Egypt and He was that monument to the Lord in the borders of Egypt. Mary and Joseph the parents of Jesus Christ had to carry baby Jesus through the borders of Jerusalem and Egypt when the Lord instructed to escape. Matthew 2:13-15 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."  So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son." The presence of Jesus Christ makes the cursed blessed. Look at how the story of Egypt, ended in the concluding verses of Isaiah 19.
Isaiah 19:24-5 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance." The cursed became the first to receive the blessing.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ I invite you into any cursed situation in my life, family, nation, and generation. Let every curse be reversed in Jesus' name. Amen
