WHY YOU SURVIVED?

Isaiah 1:9 Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.

The book of Isaiah the prophet begins with the shortcomings of the people of Zion and how their attitude of rebellion had left the land desolate. The glory of Zion had faded away because of sin. But in all these God left a remnant, survivors. The reason God left these survivors was for them to restore the glory of Zion. Without survivors, there is no hope for restoration. Zion would have become Sodom and Gomorrah a people with history yet with a trace. Beloved, you are a remnant, a survivor. Things have happened around you that took the lives of others but the Lord spared you. Diseases and attacks that killed others you survived it, there are things people in your family go through but you survived. Why did you survive all these? The reason is that God will use you for restoration. And he make this invite to His survivors in Isaiah 1:18-19 "Come now, let us settle the matter," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land. Survivors are called to partner with God to ask for His mercy and to restore the hope of many generations. You are a survivor and you must partner with God for the hope of restoration.

Prayer: Jesus Christ I come to you as a survivor. Have mercy on me and use me as an agent of your restoration in Jesus' name. Amen
