THE HUMAN LIFELINE

Isaiah 2:22 Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?

What we have as humans that sustains us is breath. But for breath, we all would have been dead and gone. That is our lifeline. Material stuff does not sustain us but it takes the breath of God to sustain us. The only prestige God places on us is breath. The things we hold in high esteem like material possessions are nothing before God. When a car, airplane, or any made thing breaks down, there are spare parts to fix them, but when a human breaks down we do not have spare parts to fix us. Unlike the car when the engine stops working the mechanic can fix it again for it to move again but when a human dies no amount of fixing can bring us back. All you got is your breath and is given by God. Trust in God and not in yourself or others.

Prayer: Father I thank you for the breath of life. Continue to grant me your breath till my full days on earth in Jesus' name. Amen.
