A NOTE OF VICTORY

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

The sign we have that the earth will never be destroyed by flood is the rainbow. The people of Judah were under siege by three kings. Isaiah 7:1 When Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it. These kings threatened their lives to the point of death.
Isaiah 7:2 Now the house of David was told, "Aram has allied itself with Ephraim"; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind. The Lord had to comfort the house of David through the prophet of God. For the assurance of their victory the Lord gave king Ahaz the nod to request a sign that He, the Lord will perform to assure them of victory. But king Ahaz let it to God saying Isaiah 7:12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test." Then the Lord gave the house of David the sure and all-time victory note that will save them and humanity at large. Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Immanuel means God with us. What you need amid the storm and pressures of life is the presence of God. And Jesus is God with us. He is our sign of victory.
Onward, Christian soldiers! Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus
Going on before. Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe; Forward into battle,
See his banners go!

Prayer: Father Lord I thank you for Christ Jesus for the assurance of victory I have through Him. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
