BE A GENERATIONAL PATRIARCH
Romans 11:28-29 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
The forefathers of the people of Israel laid a strong foundation that has become an eternal monument before God. The legacy they left were not material legacies only but a legacy that generations unborn could hold on to even in a foreign land. When Solomon built the temple of the Lord, the prayers he lifted became an eternal monument. 1 Kings 8:29-30 May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, this place of which you said, ’My Name shall be there,’ so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place. Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive. It was this prayer that worked for Daniel in the land of Babylon.
Genesis 17:6-7 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The obedience of Abraham brought many blessings to generations unborn. You too can be a generational patriarch to your family and generations unborn. Don't only leave material monuments for your children but leave a godly legacy that will trigger the heavens to acts on their behalf in your absence.
Prayer: Father I pray for the grace to walk in obedience to will so that generations unborn will benefit from it in Jesus' name. Amen.
