A CALL TO WORSHIP
Isaiah 6:2-3 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
Jane will always call her elder daughter Edith to call her sister and two brothers to the dinning area when the family meals she had prepared were ready. Edith will in turn call her immediate brother to call the rest to dine. Thus they called on one another during meal times. In Isaiah's vision concerning the throne of the Lord, he saw seraphim who were in the business of always worshiping the Lord. But the beautiful thing is that in their worship they called on one another singing:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." They called each other to worship. In heaven, the seraphim, and twenty-four Elders all join in worshiping the Lord. In Psalms 95:6-7a which goes Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. David throws a similar invitation to his people for them to join him in worship. God deserves the praises of all people.
Ephesians 5:19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord. Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. When it comes to worship we have to call on one another to worship. Don't be selfish in worship. Invite all to worship the living God.
Prayer: Holy God, together with family, friends, and love ones and the world and all that dwells in it; we glorify your Holy name, Lord Almighty. Amen
