THE TWO AGENDAS OF THE DAY
Isaiah 4:1-2 In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, "We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!" In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel.
In a day there are two categories of people who walk in the day with two different agendas. We have those who belong to Isaiah 4:1 and those who belong to Isaiah 4:2. We have those who are preoccupied with their personal needs and societal demands. They first seek the things of this world; money, relationships, work target, they wake up and go to bed with these things in mind. We also have those who wake up with the agenda of God on their minds. In John 15 Jesus Christ tells us we are the branches of the Lord. John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing. There is a clear distinction between those who are chasing after the things of the world and those chasing after God. The former looks frustrated and desperate while the latter will be beautiful and glorious. At the end of the day, the outcome of a person's day depends on the agenda he/ she pursued in the day. Some say my day was very tiring and stressful and so on but for those who sought the Lord if you ask how was the day they respond ' His grace was sufficient. Walk in the day with the agenda of God on your mind and your day will be beautiful and glorious.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I commit my everyday life to seek your Kingdom, let the day always end beautifully and glorious in Jesus' name. Amen.
