STRIVE TO ENTER
Luke 13:20-21 Again he asked, "What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough."
Jesus compares the kingdom of God to an activity that normally takes place in the bakery. For a yeast that a baker takes he/she as planned on the quantity of flour that the yeast will be mixed with. The kingdom of God has a target. God wants his Kingdom to spread through all nations. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Christ is not coming till all nations have been reached with the gospel. Because Jesus used sixty pounds of dough someone asked if only a few will be saved. Jesus answered: Luke 13:23-24 Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. The narrow door is Jesus Christ. You can't access heaven without Him. Many are willing to enter heaven but they want to do it without Christ Jesus and this is mission impossible. Thrive to enter and it will be only through Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, as your word spreads abroad, I accept you into my heart and I accept your teaching as my guide into eternity in Jesus' name. Amen.
