KNOWING JESUS

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Hebrews chapter starts up with who Jesus Christ is. It talks reminds us of the ministry of old but now God speaks to us through Christ Jesus. If you want to know God, know Christ. It goes on to explain that Christ is the exact representation of God. The father and the Son are one. Furthermore, all things are sustained by His powerful word. In Christ is our being. His words determine the outcome of events in the heavens and on the earth. One of the things Christ did was to atone for sins, we atoned for the Adamic sin and all forms of sin that will crop up and after that, He sat right hand of the Majesty in Heaven. Christ had to conquer sin to have his rightful place in heaven. Until you conquer sin you can never have your rightful place in Life. Later verses in Hebrews chapter one makes a distinction about Christ and Angels, Angels are spirits and servant but Christ is the exact image of God. Jesus Christ is not a prophet, neither is He an angel. He is the Son of the living God which equals Him to God.

Prayer: Holy Spirit open the eyes of my understanding to embrace deeper truth about Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Amen.
