THE UNIQUE SOWER WITH HIS UNIQUE SEED

Luke 8:5-8 "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. Still, other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown." When he said this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear."

Every farmer sows on fertile or good soil only. Sowing on good soil even comes with it's challenges. No farmer will dare sow on a futile land. But there comes a farmer who attempts to sow his seeds in all manner fields. He must be a different kind of farmer with a different kind of seed I guess. The seed he sows has the ability to grow anywhere. In all the fields he cultivated the seeds sprouted up, this must be a powerful seed then. This seed is the Word of God given to all men. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Once the Word is spoken it doesn't matter who you are, what you have done, you can be the chief of sinners but once the word is spoken it shoots up in you. But you have a responsibility to ensure the word grows and develops roots in your life.
This is where most of us fail, instead of watering, pruning and adding manure to what is beginning to grow in us, we rather kill the what is germinating in us with the issues of life. Luke 8:11-14 "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
The farmer knows there can be productivity on every field he sowed. Our God is not wasteful. That is why he indicates in the parable that in every field the seed germinated just that the conditions around did not favour the growth of the plants. And see how loving our Father is. He did not leave us without a solution. He gives us the reasons why our plants die and he gives ways to make them grow and be fruitful. It does matter how your field is once you receive the and you are committed to retaining and preserving it you become productive as the Father desires. This is good news in Christ every field can be cultivated. Don't be left out, harden criminals, prostitutes, drug addicts, the broken-hearted have received their the Word and have retained it in their hearts and is working perfectly for them. Hear and act. Be blessed

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I receive your words of life into my heart today, by the power of the Holy Spirit I declare my heart is conditioned for your word to grow and be productive in Jesus' name. Amen
