THE UNANNOUNCED VISIT

Revelation 16:15 "Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed."

I don't know why God will associate his second coming with a thief because God is Holy God who by His nature is good. But in His second coming, Jesus says He will come like a thief though He is not one. Most happenings or events normally do not come as a surprise they are carefully planned and people are pre-informed. The first coming of Jesus was announced through the prophets of the old. Isaiah 11:1-2 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him — the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD. God coming like a thief just means his coming will be unannounced. And he going to take with Him the ones that believed in his name. Remember  John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. Jesus is still in the business of giving life. Let Him give you life now so that at his second coming you will be part of them the would rejoice with Him.
