THE FORCES OF GATES

Luke 7:11-12 Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out —the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.

Nain means beautiful. Jesus visits a beautiful town but happenings in the town were not beautiful. A similar story is about the lame man in Acts 3:2-10. The man sat at the beautiful gate but there was nothing beautiful about his life; he was lame and a beggar. I don't know why Jesus met the dead man at the gate, nor why the lame man in Acts three was also at the gate. Beloved, you need to understand that gates represent entries and there are demonic gates that oppose people's progress in life and there are heavenly gates that promote and liberate people.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The people of Nain were in a beautiful city but forces of gates were prevailing against them. When it comes to dealing with gates it takes the entry of the most High God.
Psalms 24:7-10 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. It takes the strength of God to break down gates. In dealing with gates it about a battle, you put up a fight in the name of Lord strong and mighty in battle. So when Jesus entered Nain it was a spiritual battle won with spiritual weapons of prayer and the word. In acts 3 also the name of Jesus is used to handle gate issues The Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. I don't what gate is working against you but in the name of Jesus Christ, you will have the victory.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus Christ any gates of hell prevailing against my life is brought in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord who is strong in battle. Amen.
