THE PRIESTLY CALL

Malachi 2:5-6 "My covenant was with him, a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him; this called for reverence and he revered me and stood in awe of my name. True instruction was in his mouth and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness and turned many from sin.

The role of the priest was a noble one, they loved the truth and walked in total obedience to God. They loved God and turn many from their sins. This what the offices given by Jesus Christ ought to do. Ephesians 4:11-14 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Today it seems some who serve in these offices have forgotten their role as shepherds of the flock of Christ Jesus. Malachi 2:7 "For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge because he is the messenger of the LORD Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth. Now servants of God carrying their message that is contrary to what God is saying. Beloved do not be deceived, you ought to find the truth for yourself and be free. Fake ministers will abound in these times but is your responsibility to find and follow the truth.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ lead me to your ministers who teach your truth that I may grow in my walk with you. Amen
