WHAT ABOUT US?

Luke 3:14: Some soldiers asked him, “And what about us, what are we to do?” And he replied to them, “Do not extort money from anyone or harass or blackmail anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.

Is important to love peace and to hate violence was the advice to John the Baptist to the soldiers of his time. He also warns them against blackmailing and bribing. These are major character defects in our society today, where people abuse others, use their positions to take undue advantage of people and never content with salaries. Instead of violence, value human life. If you ever think of blackmail know that you will never have that position or be privileged with that information forever and instead taking brides from people and stealing from the government you can think of innovative ways to create income genuinely without stealing. Every negative thing you do demands effort, energy and planning, you can channel that same effort, energy and plans to do good that benefit you and others to make the world a better place.

Prayer: Lord from today I channel my energy, skills, resources to do things that bring honor and glory to God and the people in my world today in Jesus' name. Amen
