RELATING WITH GOD AND HUMANS

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn't make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at a person's thoughts and intentions."

Great personalities are remembered by humanity for their good or evil deed. Martin Luther King Jnr is remembered for his human right movement, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is known for fighting for the independence of the Ghanaian people. Just as Adolf Hitler is remembered for annihilating the Jews and Idi Amin for his brutality during his reign. The human perception of a person is always formulated by outwards deeds which may not be the true reflection of a person's character. But that is the limitation of humans, we are not privilege to know the inward but the outward. God on the other hand deals with people by their heart; that is by their thoughts and intentions. Genesis 6:5 The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The offering of the widow and the rich people in Mark 14:41-44 gives a picture of how God sees things. In man's eye, the rich was giving more but in God's eye, the poor widow gave her best. How then do we strike the balance? Should we ignore the outward and focus on the heart only with which we relate to God?

While earth we ought to know that we are dealing with humans who will look at the outward life to pass comments and to build perception concerning us. This is how to strike the balance in relating to God and humans, after we have pleased our God who relates with us inwardly we should also endeavor to outwardly do things right so our fellow beings can relate to us and see the good in us God sees.

Prayer: Lord as I relate to you grant me the Grace to leave peace with all me in Jesus name. Amen
