LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS
1Peter 4:7-9 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
As we see the day of the Lord drawing near, the Bible shows us how we ought to conduct ourselves. We have to be alert thus we must observe and stay away from the dangers of the end time. 2Timothy 3:1-3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, from such turn away.
To be of sober mind is to have the mind. Christ in you and to be fervent in prayer in a wicked world.
Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
In the last days, love will be a scarce commodity, those who have it will have theirs abused, manipulated and its strength misused. Yet because of all these above all things, we must have love and show hospitality in a generation where you don't know who trust. Living in the last days is a call to the believer to live contrary to the dictates of the end time. If your life is contrary to it then it means you are on course but if you live according to the standards of the end time watch and repent.
prayer: Lord Jesus Christ I don't want to miss the day of the Lord. Holy Spirit empower me to be Christ-like in these last days in Jesus mighty name Amen.
