A MESSAGE TO THE ELECT WOMAN

1Peter 3:3-5 Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.  Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves.

Your worth in God's sight is your inner beauty, not the outside glitz and glamour. There is no glory around you when your focus is always on your outer man. Sometimes some people think they can replace glory with extravagant outward adornment. Overemphasis on your outer man is a sign of a decaying inner man. Those who have their hope in the Lord Jesus Christ have regalia's which identifies them. They put on Christ and His word dwells in them, they teach and administer the wisdom of God and their lips overflow spiritual songs unto the Lord.
Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Queen Vashti had the glitz and glamour on the outside but inwardly she was ugly and fell short of the word of God that admonishes wives to be submissive to their husbands.
Esther 1:11-2 To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty for she was fair to look on. But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.
You can be fair to look upon but without godly character, you will be trampled upon. Esther had glitz and glamour on her inside, it transformed her  and it reflected on the outside. She did not lose her place as queen, and she reigned and won many victories for God and country. Sisters, we will last long by fashion   , makeups, and makeovers. We will remain chosen and last longer if our focus will on Christ Jesus and the word.
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

 prayer: Lord Jesus Christ I come to you today as a woman who desires to pattern my life after the Holy women of the past. Holy Spirit shift my desire from focusing on my outer man, help me to work on my inner man with fear and trembling in Jesus name Amen.
