A PRAYER FOR YOU

Ephesians 3:16-19 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge —that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

More than ever we need prayers that will align us to the purposes of God. As we go through the scriptures, we need to remind ourselves of the prayers the patriarchs prayed for the early church. Paul in Chapter three of Ephesians was addressing the relevance of the Gospel to the gentile nations. Is only through the gospel that gentiles are saved and adopted into the family of God. And as he ends this chapter he prayed for them that they will be strengthened in their inner being through His spirit. You accept Christ in inside not on the outside and it takes the power of the Holy Spirit for Christ to dwell in you. Now may the Holy Spirit empower your inner being that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. And he also prayed for them to be deep-rooted in love. Beloved, there is a level of love that surpasses knowledge and this love can never be understood. This love is beyond what the eyes see and what the mind knows. Is a decision to get along with someone in spite of the person's weaknesses. What is how God relates with us and for us to experience the full measure of God we must also relate to others well in spite of their weaknesses. May the love of God fill our hearts.

Prayer: Father I pray that you empower me by the Holy Spirit to have Christ in me and I pray that may your love be deep-rooted in me to experience the fullness of God in Jesus name Amen.
