UNVEILING THE MASQUERADES

2Corinthians 11:14-15 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Those who reject the true light of God,  walk in the false light of the devil. To them, darkness becomes their light. The devil has his own servants who masquerade themselves as servants of righteousness but in reality, they are servants of darkness. Nobody really loves darkness so in order for them to push their evil agenda they pretend as the servants of righteousness. The fundamental characteristics of these masqueraded servants of righteousness are that they alter the truth in God's word, they enslave people, exploit people, take advantage of them, and make them believe lies.
2 Corinthians 11:20 In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or slaps you in the face.
Paul was surprised that the Corinthian churches we're embracing these charlatans. They are all over the place in these times too and they will continue to abound. The honor lies on you to personally know God's word and traits found in genuine servants of God so you are not exploited and led astray into condemnation. The churches at Ephesus did well in this regard
Revelation 2:2 I know your deeds, your hard work, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
1Timothy 3: 1-7 gives us some fundamental conducts of genuine servants of God. This what versus two and three says;
1Timothy 3:2-4 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
Make time to read the rest so you are not deceived.
